Sanjay MishraBy Sanjeev Shekhar

The famed Bollywood comedian Sanjay Mishra is bit concerned but at the same time happy. Unwilling to do the film initially Sanjay was apparently the last person to think that PHAS GAYE RE OBAMA would fulfill his dream during his long-drawn struggle as an actor. The film got him the second award for his remarkable acting. First, it was Star Screen Award and now it’s Globe Award for the best actor in a comic role for PGRO.
“You can say that it was just a chance that the film for which I was apprehensive due to low budget has given me so much. When I heard about the role from the Director Sudhash Kapoor, I fell in love with it,” said Sanjay over the telephone from Chandigarh where he is currently busy shooting for his forthcoming film “Joker”.
He is also keeping his fingers crossed to know the feedback about the film “Satrangi Parachute” that was released today. “I do not have much hope, but let’s see,” he said. Sanjay is confident of his role and has already started getting feedback about his commendable performance but a down to earth person, as always, prefer to say less and do more in terms of deeds.
His proven versatility is now asking for more from “Bhai Saab” in PGRO. “The character of Bhai Saab has got negativity and I’m surprised a little bit as to why am I considered for comic role in it. I think the inherent comic in the style of the character particularly when Neha Dhupia fire gun shots between my legs and the expression thereof has been appreciated by many,” Sanjay held.
His two successful films last year GOLMAAL 3 and PGRO has put him straight into the hearts of the millions, though he will be remembered for the role of Bhai Saab for years together. “I must thank the director of the film Subhash Kapoor for his understanding and unflinching faith in me to do such a role. He was able to extract an actor from me, thereby putting life in the character,” the talented actor said on winning his Globe award.
Satrangi Parachute is the film for all with actors like Jackie Shroff and Rajpal Yadav. It’s a story about children and is good to watch for six to sixty. Sanjay is planning to come to Jharkhand as he is highly impressed with the natural sights and picturesque beauty of this place. “I want to do a film there, once locations are finalized,” he said from Chandigarh.
