He has several firsts to his kitty and he is just 13.
Talented and having extraordinaire grey cells, this young boy has already set
out to create record of sorts in his life. He has created a record of being the
youngest in the country for qualifying the difficult entrance examinations of Indian
Institute of Technology, Joint Entrance Examination, (IIT JEE), when he was
hardly 12. He passed the class 10 examination when he was just 10-year old.
As he was dissatisfied with the rank in IIT JEE (some 8000
and odds) in 2012, he decided to re-appear and take the entrance examination
this year (2013) and he successfully managed to carve a niche for himself to
secure 569 rank in IIT JEE pan India.
Satyam, son of a farmer Sidhanath Singh, comes from the
rural and poor background. His father flunked five times in the matriculation and
he left his studies. However, Sidhanath was blessed with two sons, Satyam and
Shivam and never knew that they will be creating wonders.
Satyam’s grandfather Ramlal Singh was the main
driving force behind success of the child.
Born on July 20, 1999 at the remote Bakhorapur
village in Ara district of Bihar, Satyam’s intellect was realized at the very
early stage and this correspondent had the opportunity to meet him when he just
seven.
This wonder child remembers History of all freedom fighters.
He used to deliver speech in his school and even taught many of his classmates
when they failed to understand anything what the teacher taught them in class. In
2005, he used to solve the calculus problems of plus two and class tenth
Algebra and Arithmetic. His innocence defies the extraordinary brain he has. Given
his qualities, the CBSE School at Patna gave him special permission and provided
him admission at a tender age. But he went to Kota to join a coaching institute
there. There he was helped by a gentleman R.K.Verma to finance his studies from
class 9-12. And true to his commitment this young boy did not disappoint his
well wishers.
“We were expecting
that he would secure the rank in the first 200 in IIT JEE. However, he has
decided to take admission this time,” said Satyam’s grandfather Ramlal over the
phone. Satyam has a dream to fulfill as he wants to accomplish some landmark in
the information and technology, though he desires to become an IAS officer.
He was given special permission by the IIT JEE Mumbai zone
to take the entrance examination in 2012. He got through IIT JEE entrance when
he was 12 and still holds the record of being the youngest to crack the
examination in the country. Even though he succeeded this year and improved his
rank (569), he still remains the youngest of all to crack the examination. Before Satyam, it was a young boy from Delhi Sahal Kaushik, who cracked this coveted IIT entrance exmination.
His grandfather revealed that his second grandchild, Shivam,
who is only 11 is now on Satyam’s footprint and he is more intelligent that his
elder brother. This year Shivan will take up the test of English and Mathematics
Olympiad, the grandfather informed.
In 2006, Bihar Chief Minister (CM) Nitish kumar had honored Satyam
with the award “Bihari Ho to Aisa”.
Satyam is an epitome of talent and no one knows that how
many Satyams in India are still waiting for help and guidance in the rural
villages of this country.
